History

The Riande Hotel chain's history begins with the Hotel Riande Urban, founded by the late Don Ildefonso Riande Peña and his wife on November 14, 1969, making it one of the first and most important hotels in Panama City. Years later, the Hotel Riande Airport was acquired, strategically located just 5 minutes from Tocumen International Airport. Today, the Riande Hotel chain, a symbol of Panamanian hospitality, maintains the leadership and philosophy established by its founder, Don Ildefonso Riande, who is credited with extraordinary vision.
The hotels continue to be family-run and maintain their infrastructure with a dramatic new design renovation, which represents the launch of a new and modern image for both hotels.
